HOW WE CREATE TEAM SPIRIT AT THE BRÜNING GROUP

At the recent team event of our Recycling & Waste unit, it once again became clear what defines the Brüning Group: a strong sense of togetherness that is evident beyond day-to-day work. At Rotkäppchen in Bremen, a creative surprise – organised by Ute Witgen and Phillip Behrens – set the scene for an evening full of exchange, colour, and shared experiences: during the “After Work & Paint” session, participants created their own unique paintings on canvas, step by step.

TEAM BUILDING IN 1,000 COLOURS

Events like this create exactly what often gets lost in everyday business: time for genuine connection, free from time pressure or a set agenda – instead offering space for open conversations and real team-building. Especially in a job where many topics and projects run in parallel, these moments are particularly valuable: they enable us to turn the daily opportunities and challenges into successes even more effectively as a team.

“The atmosphere was simply fantastic. Everyone was thrilled and enjoyed the evening. These kinds of events are a great opportunity to grow even closer as a team. Precisely because painting was new territory for many of us, it was fun to take on the challenge together,” recounts Ute.

WHEN COLLEAGUES BECOME A TEAM

The importance we place on this sense of togetherness is reflected in many different formats and activities throughout the year. For example, we started together at the B2Run, celebrated Bremen tradition at the Freimarktsumzug, or worked up a sweat playing after-work football at the Bolzerei. Time and time again, we deliberately create opportunities to strike up conversations, chat away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day work, and share enjoyable moments outside the office. We are convinced that we achieve more together. That is why team spirit is not just a buzzword for us, but an integral part of our corporate culture – and a vital foundation for the success of the entire Group.
